Hello
My name is Andy, and I am the owner and worm nerd at Carbon and Soil. We are a small-scale worm farm that just focuses on producing biologically active vermicompost for liquid applications.

My Story
Vermicompost, worm castings, vermicast, worm poop, and worm compost all have the same meaning: the end product of earthworms' breakdown of organic material.
Vermicomposting is like a green thumb, animal husbandry, and soil science. I have been vermicomposting since 2007. I have excellent knowledge of vermicomposting, composting, and soil health without synthetic inputs. I have self-learned from reading and attending vermiculture and farming conferences, YouTube videos, and farm teaching events. I have kept updated on the latest regenerative organic agricultural growing practices for at least 15 years. I am a member of PASA, the Pennsylvania Association on Sustainable Agriculture. Daily, I keep learning and improving my vermicompost and compost process at Carbon and Soil.

Strong, healthy soil is essential for nutrient-dense food. Carbon and Soil use high amounts of paper materials with wood chips to produce biologically active vermicompost for liquid applications. Our vermicompost is better for use in liquid and slurry applications for both the root and soil zones when it is made.

Carbon and Soil often test our vermicompost for biological, nutrient content, metal content, and DNA.
